Battery of Three External Silos for Dry Sand Storage

 

Each silo has a monolithic structure with several complementary accessory parts that are bolted together during assembly, featuring the following dimensions and characteristics:

 

  • Cylindrical Part: Diameter 2400 mm, Height: 6000 mm.
  • Lower Conical Section: Inclined at 53°, with a central flange connection for a manual butterfly valve DN 150.
  • Central Product Withdrawal Connection: Flanged for a butterfly valve DN 150.
  • Upper Conical Section: With a manhole sealed for internal inspection.
  • Mounting Brackets: For fixing to the supporting structure.
  • Removable Flanged Support: With an adjustable tensioner for the E+H Levelflex analog level probe (not included).
  • Loading Pipe: DN 100 at ground level with a unified flange.
  • Replaceable Wear-Resistant Loading Box: With a flange for connecting to the loading pipe.
  • Access Ladder: Marine-style (only for one silo) with galvanized safety railing.
  • Guardrail and Railing: Galvanized on top for access to the pressure control valve, level probe, and dust suction piping.
  • Finish: One coat of anti-rust primer + one coat of synthetic paint (total thickness 80–100 microns).

Supporting Structure for Three External Silos for Dry Sand Storage

The structure will be monolithic, with only removable columns to ensure transportability, hot-dip galvanized (if hot-dip galvanizing is not feasible for any reason, the structure will be painted in the same manner as the silos).

The upper part of the structure (where the silos will rest) will be closed to prevent rainwater from falling to the ground. It will rest on six supporting columns and will be braced on three sides (one long side and two short sides) with full-height diagonal bracing. The fourth long side may be equipped with 45° braces between the columns and the supporting structure, but this can only be confirmed during the final calculation stage.

The structure will be made with normalized profile beams to create a parallelepiped, which, with infill panels (not included in the supply), will form a protected environment against rainwater where the three pneumatic propellers and their control pneumatic panels will be located.
