AUTOMATIC SAND CORE SHOOTER "40 DOD"

The sand core shooter in question is an automatic machine for the production of series cores with open-top core boxes or in two halves with horizontal division to be used with all currently widespread cold-box processes.
The machine comes standard with a complete perimeter enclosure, an integrated control electrical panel within the perimeter enclosure with programmable logic (PLC) SIEMENS series S7, and onboard electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

The perimeter enclosure completely surrounds the machine and is equipped with sliding side doors for maintenance access, while on the operator side, an opening protected by a double pneumatic door defines the part of the machine facing the device for extracting hardened cores.
On the left side of the perimeter enclosure, the gasifier (for the cold-box amine process) can be housed, with its controls inserted into the general panel of the machine.

At the front of the machine, the pendant control panel is provided for the operator, where the PLC display and all necessary controls for operating the machine are located.
The machine can automatically perform cycles with double shooting, providing indications via the display regarding set times, any alarm signals (diagnostics), the number of cycles completed, and the charging frequency.
The filterless shooting system adopted on this machine allows for operation with reduced shooting pressures.
The machine is built in compliance with European safety standards and is supplied with CE marking.

EXAMPLE OF OPERATIONAL SEQUENCE

• start of cycle,
• closure of doors on the operator side,
• lifting of the table until complete closure of the core box,
• execution of the shooting cycle (single or double),
• partial lowering of the table to allow the gas plate to enter,
• entry of gas plate,
• rising of the table for compression of the gas plate on the core box,
• execution of the gasification cycle,
• complete lowering of the core box table and exit of gas plate,
• ejection of the hardened core during the last part of the table descent,
• opening of doors on the operator side,
• entry of the fork lifter,
• lifting of the fork lifter and raising of the hardened core,
• return of the lifter,
• lowering of the lifter,
• start of the next cycle.
