This machine is equipped as standard with intelligent hydraulic clamping units with slotted plates for the closure of vertical division core boxes, operated by hydraulic cylinders aided by automatic position recognition systems. The hydraulic-operated slide allows the clamping unit, with the installed core box, to move away from the shooting and gassing position, giving the operator free access to the upper part of the core box, enabling them to remove the hardened cores from the shooting area.

The core shooter in question is designed for the production of cores using the gassing operation to harden the cores and is made according to the following specifications:

• Right and left clamps with a mechanical fastening system for core boxes, featuring independent hydraulic movements on both sides with position recognition, controlled by hydraulic valves equipped with fast/slow settings and dedicated software.
• Hydraulic slide with a 600 mm stroke, achieved through a hydraulic cylinder and a proximity limit switch.
• Hydraulic table lifting/lowering group with a 300 mm stroke, implemented with a hydraulic cylinder and an electronic position recognition system, controlled by hydraulic valves equipped with fast/slow settings and dedicated software.
• Complete perimeter closure designed to allow the slide to move the entire clamping unit outside the shooting head while remaining within the perimeter closure, complete with full-height automatic operator-side doors. For maintenance, the perimeter closure is equipped with sliding side doors controlled by safety limit switches.
• Mechanical support devices (optional) for the upper half-core box (retainer) when using horizontally divided core boxes.
• Gasifier (optional) integrated into the perimeter closure.
• Electrical control panel integrated into the enclosure, featuring an operator panel supported by an articulated cantilever arm, with a Siemens S7 PLC, an OP7 display with multilingual operational software that includes memorizable recipes with the following adjustable options:
  1. Indication of the type of shooting head to be used (slot, central hole, cross, or inserts).
  2. Indication of the type of insert to be used (e.g., insert 11, etc.).
  3. Single, double, or triple shooting, each with its own loading time.
  4. Loading frequency.
  5. Indication of the shooting pressure to be used (manual adjustment).
  6. Position of the right half-core box.
  7. Position of the left half-core box.
  8. Position of the core box during ascent (against shooting head). Once this value is set, the machine will automatically position itself for the entry of the gassing plate after shooting.
  9. Gassing time.
  10. Washing time.
  11. Indication of the gassing pressure to be used (manual adjustment).
  12. Indication of the washing pressure to be used (manual adjustment).
  13. Slide enabled or disabled.
  14. Clamps enabled or disabled.
  15. Option to include an intermediate stop in the cycle for introducing reinforcement or hooks before the shooting cycle.
  16. Option to include an intermediate stop in the cycle for introducing reinforcement or hooks after the shooting cycle.
  17. Option to adopt the “extra-long core box” cycle variable, which allows the slide and thus the core box to move only with the doors open.

The filterless shooting system used in this machine allows for operation at reduced shooting pressures. The machine is built in compliance with European safety standards, carries a CE marking, and is accompanied by the relevant declaration of conformity.
