AUTOMATIC SAND-CORE MACHINE "B 25 GSE-I"

This machine is equipped as standard with an intelligent hydraulic clamping unit with grooved plates for closing vertical division sand core boxes, moved by hydraulic cylinders with an automatic position recognition system. The sliding unit, also hydraulic, allows the clamping unit with the installed sand core box to be moved out of the shooting and gasification position, enabling the operator to have free access to the top of the sand core box, thus allowing them to remove the hardened cores from the shooting area.

The sand core machine in question is designed for the production of cores using all processes that employ gasification to harden the cores and is built according to the following features:

  • Clamping units on both the right and left sides with a mechanical fastening system for the sand core boxes, featuring independent intelligent hydraulic movements on both sides with position recognition, controlled by hydraulic valves with fast/slow modes and dedicated software.

  • Hydraulic sliding unit with a stroke of 600 mm, realized through an oleodynamic cylinder and equipped with a proximity limit switch.

  • Hydraulic extractor: the vertical ejection movement with four push points and a 20 mm stroke is hydraulic and self-guided, fully housed within the base of the clamping unit without visible external parts. This particular construction design does not hinder the normal use of the clamping unit when the extractor is not in use. The extractor's operation is always managed within the recipes, allowing it to be easily included or excluded as desired.

  • Hydraulic table lift/lower unit with a 300 mm stroke, realized through an intelligent position-recognition cylinder, controlled by hydraulic valves with fast/slow modes and dedicated software.

  • Complete perimeter closure sized to allow the sliding unit to bring the entire clamping unit out of the shooting head while remaining inside the perimeter closure, complete with full-height automatic operator-side doors. For maintenance, the perimeter closure is equipped with side sliding doors controlled by safety limit switches.

  • Mechanical supports for the upper half of the sand core when using horizontally divided sand core boxes.

  • Integrated gasifier (optional) within the perimeter closure.

  • Integrated electrical panel within the enclosure, featuring an operator panel supported by a special articulated arm, with Siemens S7 PLC, an OP7 display, and multilingual operational software with storable recipes containing the following configurable options:

    1. Indication of the type of shooting head to be used (slot, central hole, cross, or inserts).
    2. Indication of the type of insert to use (e.g., insert 11, etc.).
    3. Single, double, or triple shooting, each with its own charging time.
    4. Loading frequency.
    5. Indication of the shooting pressure to be used (manual adjustment).
    6. Position of the right sand core half.
    7. Position of the left sand core half.
    8. Position of the sand core during ascent (against the shooting head). Once this value is set, the machine automatically positions itself for the gasification plate's entry after shooting.
    9. Gasification time.
    10. Washing time.
    11. Indication of the gasification pressure to be used (manual adjustment).
    12. Indication of the washing pressure to be used (manual adjustment).
    13. Sliding unit included or excluded.
    14. Clamps included or excluded.
    15. Ability to insert an intermediate stop in the cycle for the introduction of reinforcement or hooks before the shooting cycle.
    16. Ability to insert an intermediate stop in the cycle for the introduction of reinforcement or hooks after the shooting cycle.
    17. Possibility to adopt the cycle variable "extra-long sand core box," which allows moving the sliding unit and thus the sand core box only with open doors.

The filterless shooting system adopted on this machine allows for operation at reduced shooting pressures. The machine is built in compliance with European safety standards, is marked with CE certification, and is accompanied by a corresponding declaration of conformity.
