Our products

The core shooter in question is an automatic machine for the production of cores, designed to be compatible with all the most common cold-box processes.

The machine is specifically designed to produce cores from horizontally split core boxes.

To facilitate the removal of cores and waste, the machine is equipped with a long-travel sled that moves the lower half of the core box outside the machine at the end of the cycle, where an operator (or a robotic arm) can safely retrieve the hardened cores.

The machine comes standard with a perimeter enclosure, an electrical control panel with programmable logic (PLC) by SIEMENS, and onboard electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

 

The perimeter enclosure fully surrounds the machine.

Key features of the machine include:

 

  • The movement of the head is performed via a pair of hydraulic cylinders combined with an electronic position recognition system using an encoder and guided by four chrome-plated sliding bars on bushings.
  • Key points of the movement (shooting position, gassing position, scraper insertion, core box alignment, etc.) are stored and saved along with the core box code in a series of recipes that can be recalled on the machine's PLC.
  • The sled that supports the lower half of the core box contains an extraction system that allows the ejection of the hardened core from the lower half of the core box.
  • The upper part of the machine consists of the shooting head, complete with sand-loading system, vibrating hopper, and gassing plate with its insertion system.
  • The shooting bell is mechanically quick-fastened.
  • A gassing system (optional) for the cold-box process (up to 150 Kg core weight) can be integrated into the perimeter enclosure.

The control panel is integrated into the enclosure, with an operator interface on an articulated arm, featuring an S7 PLC, a 12-inch color Touch Screen, and multi-language operational software with storable recipes, including configurable variants such as:

  1. Configuration of the shooting head to be used,
  2. Single, double, or triple shot, each with its own charge time,
  3. Loading frequency,
  4. Shooting pressure,
  5. Head positions during movement (up and down),
  6. Gassing time,
  7. Washing time,
  8. Gassing pressure,
  9. Washing pressure,
  10. Cycle type (horizontally split core box, movable parts, etc.).

The filterless shooting system allows the machine to operate with reduced shooting pressures.

The machine is built according to European safety standards, carries the CE marking, and comes with a declaration of conformity.
