"COMPACT 5" CORE SHOOTER WITH HYDRAULIC CLAMPS
This machine comes standard with a hydraulic clamp group featuring chrome-plated side guides and grooved plates for securing the core boxes. This type of core shooter can work with:
- Two-part vertical division core boxes,
- Three-part core boxes (two vertical half cores + a base),
- Horizontally divided core boxes to be used as loose cores,
- Single-piece open-top cores.
The operation is based on a pre-set single automatic cycle with selectable options. The two main parts of the core box (right side and left side) are mounted on slotted plates with through T-slots for hammer screws or unified T-slot anchors.
At the top of the machine, you will find the shooting head with its approved shooting tank, the sand loading butterfly valve with its actuator, the residual pressure release valve, and the vibrating hopper. The feeding hopper is equipped with an electric vibrator. The gasification plate, pneumatically inserted with positions controlled by limit switches, is mounted on a carriage that slides on chrome-plated and tempered ball recirculation guides, which at the front also incorporates two scrapers for cleaning the shooting head and the upper part of the core boxes.
The machine can be delivered with an interchangeable insert shooting head (optional). The shooting head is mounted on a special collar using a set of locking screws that allow the operator to easily remove it from the shooting position for end-of-shift cleaning operations.
The core shooter is supplied complete with:
- A monolithic perimeter supporting structure designed to be compact while also preventing uncontrolled access to danger zones by the operator. Access to the core box is permitted via a retractable curtain controlled by sensors linked to the safety control unit. Two additional side entries (for maintenance use only) are also provided; in this case, the access doors are hinged and controlled by specific key safety limit switches.
- Right and left clamps with a mechanical fastening system for core boxes, pneumatic movements implemented with individually adjustable ISO cylinders.
- A compact hydraulic unit with a pump, discharge valve, onboard accumulator, and visual level indicator. The hydraulic equipment and solenoid valves are positioned on the control unit.
- The main control electrical panel is fixed directly to the machine structure, with the ability to rotate as needed, featuring a Siemens S7 PLC, a Siemens OP 3 monochrome backlit display, and dedicated software with memory support with the following adjustable options:
- Hydraulic clamps inserted or excluded,
- Ability to use and control movable parts on the core box,
- Single or double shooting,
- Loading frequency,
- Gasification time,
- Washing time,
- An integrated (optional) gasifier in the machine's supporting structure, with commands integrated into the machine's electrical panel.
- The filterless shooting system adopted on this machine allows for operation with reduced shooting pressures.
The working height of the work surface is 1000 mm, allowing the operator to work comfortably. The machine does not require foundations or floor holes and is built in compliance with European safety standards, marked with CE, and accompanied by a corresponding declaration of conformity.
