This machine is equipped as standard with a pneumatic clamping unit, featuring chrome-plated side guides and slotted plates for securing the core boxes. This type of core shooter can operate with:
- Core boxes in two parts with vertical division,
- Core boxes divided into three parts (two half core boxes with vertical division + a base),
- Core boxes divided into two parts with horizontal division to be used as loose core boxes,
- Single-piece core boxes with open tops.
The operation runs on a single automatic cycle, pre-set through selectable options. The two main parts of the core box (right and left sides) are mounted on slotted large blocks with T-slots for hammer screws or unified dowels for T-slots.
At the top of the machine, there is a shooting head with the certified shooting tank, a butterfly valve for sand loading with its actuator, a residual pressure relief valve, and a vibrating hopper. The feeding hopper is equipped with an electric vibrator.
The gassing plate is pneumatically inserted, with positions controlled by limit switches, and mounted on a trolley that slides on hardened, chrome-plated ball recirculating guides. In the front section, it also incorporates two scrapers for cleaning the shooting head and the top part of the core boxes.
The machine can be delivered with a shooting head for interchangeable inserts (optional). The shooting head is mounted on a collar with a set of three screw clamps, allowing the operator to easily remove it from the shooting position for end-of-shift cleaning operations.
The core shooter is supplied complete with:
- A monolithic perimeter supporting structure, designed to be compact while preventing uncontrolled access by the operator to danger zones. Operator access to the core box is granted through a roll-up curtain controlled by sensors linked to the safety control unit. Two additional side entrances (for maintenance use only) are equipped with hinged doors, monitored by safety key limit switches.
- Right and left clamps with a mechanical core box securing system, with pneumatic movements made using individually adjustable ISO cylinders.
- A compact hydraulic unit with pump, dump valve, onboard accumulator, and visual level indicator. The hydraulic equipment and solenoid valves are located on the unit itself.
- The main electrical control panel, directly mounted on the machine structure, is adjustable as needed. It includes a Siemens S7 PLC, a Siemens OP 3 backlit monochrome display, and dedicated software with memory support for the following adjustable options:
- Clamps enabled or disabled.
- Ability to control movable parts on the core box.
- Single or double shooting.
- Loading frequency.
- Gassing time.
- Washing time.
- A gasifier (optional) integrated into the machine's support structure, with controls integrated into the machine's electrical panel.
- The filterless shooting system on this machine allows operation at reduced shooting pressures.
The working table height is 1000 mm from the floor, ensuring operator comfort. The machine requires no special foundations or floor holes and is built according to European safety standards, with CE marking and an accompanying declaration of conformity.
