This machine comes standard with a hydraulic clamping group featuring vertical division core box clamping plates operated by hydraulic cylinders and an automatic position recognition system. The slider, also hydraulically controlled, allows the left half of the core box, with the hardened core still inside, to be moved out of the shooting and gassing position. This design enables ergonomic access for the operator to the core, allowing them to easily remove the hardened cores from the shooting area.
The slider’s operation can be activated or deactivated from the automatic cycle via the dedicated control panel.
The machine in question is designed for core production, utilizing the gassing process for curing the cores, and is built according to the following specifications:
Right-side clamp: Equipped with a clamping plate for core boxes, featuring independent intelligent hydraulic movement with position recognition (encoder with the corresponding external position transduction system located outside the hydraulic cylinder).
The clamp also has a second hydraulic cylinder positioned lower than the original to ensure optimal closure force for taller core boxes.
Vertical slider: Hydraulically operated with a stroke of 1250 mm on the left side of the clamp, featuring a clamping plate for the left half of the core box. It includes a hydraulic ejection system with a guided movable plate during the extraction process. (The slider is equipped with six roller supports of the latest tested type used in previous machines.)
Mobile shooting head: Features vertical hydraulic movement with two double-rod hydraulic cylinders serving both propulsive and guiding functions.
Gassing plate: Pneumatically actuated with an integrated cleaning system using scrapers for both the underside of the shooting head and the top of the core box.
Comprehensive perimeter closure: Includes automatic operator-side doors that open fully and are designed for maintenance access with sliding side doors controlled by safety limit switches.
Integrated gassing system: For the cold-box process within the perimeter closure.
Operating temperatures: Managed directly from the operator interface (hydraulic oil cooling, washing air heater temperature with PID function, alarm display, etc.).
Integrated electrical panel: Within the closure, with an operator panel supported by a cantilevered articulated arm and Siemens S7 series 1500 PLC.
Capable of working with core boxes equipped with a movable lower piece, controlled functionally from the machine's main panel.
HMI: Industrial Elmak Touch Panel PC with a 12” display and multilingual operating software, allowing for approximately 400 storable recipes with the following configurable variants:
Indication of the shooting head to use (slot, central hole, cross, or inserts)
Indication of the type of insert to use (e.g., insert 11, etc.)
Single, double, or triple shooting, each with its own timing
Loading frequency
Indication of the shooting pressure to use
Position of the left half of the core box (open and closed)
Shooting position: once this value is set, the machine automatically positions itself for the entry of the gassing plate after shooting
Gassing time
Washing time
Indication of the gassing pressure to use
Indication of the washing pressure to use
Vertical slider included or excluded
Clamp included or excluded
Vertical movement in the third dimension included or excluded
The filterless shooting system adopted in this machine allows operation at reduced shooting pressures.
The machine is built in compliance with European safety standards, features CE marking, and is accompanied by the relevant declaration of conformity.
