TM 60 R - I Cold-Box Core Shooter Machine
The TM 60 R - I core shooter is designed for producing cores using Cold-Box processes (e.g., CO2, Ashland, Beta Set) with vertically divided core boxes. The machine operates in a single automatic cycle. It is suitable for working with the following types of core boxes:
- Core boxes divided into two parts, with vertical division.
- Core boxes divided into three parts (two half core boxes + one bottom part).
All movements of the core box parts are hydraulically controlled. The two main parts of the core box are mounted on two units: a rear unit and a front unit.
- The rear unit, moved by a hydraulic cylinder, is positioned according to the size of the core box. Once positioned, it remains fixed during the automatic cycle. A linear transducer detects and stores its position.
- The front unit performs two movements during the automatic cycle:
- Tilting the operator-side half of the core box.
- Closing and opening the core box through a hydraulic mechanism with mechanical levers.
Each unit is equipped with four hydraulic clamps to secure the core boxes, which must be fitted with a standardized mounting plate.
The lower part of the machine (movable lower section) is moved by two oleodynamic cylinders and controlled by a linear transducer, which transmits its position to the control panel. The ejector for hardened cores operates similarly, using a hydraulic cylinder and position transducer.
The upper part of the machine (including the tank, shooting head, etc.) is also movable, controlled by two hydraulic cylinders. The feeding hopper is equipped with an electric vibrator.
The gasification plate is pneumatically inserted and mounted on a cart that also contains two scrapers for cleaning the shooting head and the upper part of the core box.
The machine is supplied with a shooting head with interchangeable inserts. The shooting head is mounted on wheels, allowing the operator to easily slide it out of the shooting position for cleaning.
Hydraulic and Electrical Features:
- The machine comes with a hydraulic power unit featuring:
- A variable flow pump,
- Alarm thermostat,
- Filter clogging indicator,
- Air/oil heat exchanger,
- Level control, and
- Visual level indicator.
The hydraulic equipment and valves are located onboard the machine.
- The machine is also equipped with an electrical control panel (Siemens S7 PLC) in a cabinet, with the control buttons mounted on the front door.
