VBT Vibrating Crusher for Core Scrap

Our products

The disposal of core scrap, often classified as special waste, not only increases management costs within the core department but also introduces complex issues that can be avoided with a simple crushing system. Our Vibrating Crushers allow for the efficient recycling of nearly all sand obtained from treated core waste.

The crusher utilizes a three-dimensional vibration that creates vigorous friction between the core materials placed inside the treatment basin, leading to disaggregation and reduction into sand-like granules. Although some dust is generated during the disaggregation process, the amount varies depending on the material of the cores. Therefore, we recommend implementing a dedicated containment box equipped with a dust extraction system to prevent the dispersion of these powders in the workspace.

Physically, the machine resembles a large bowl where operators can loosely insert cores of any type and size, including sand collected from the floor without worrying about foreign bodies such as metal, rebar, cups, or paper. Once activated, the machine transmits a three-dimensional vibration to the inserted material, causing continuous and intense friction among the cores, while any foreign objects remain safely inside the basin without causing damage.

Tests conducted with our clients have shown that adding the sand obtained from the crushing process, at a rate of 3-4% to new sand, does not present any contraindications. Furthermore, the machine can operate unattended, enhancing efficiency.

The material produced from the core fragmentation is discharged through a side grid and can be collected by a dedicated hopper, from which the product can be transferred to a pneumatic conveyor or any other device.

Technical Specifications:

  • Vibrating basin fully lined with wear-resistant polyurethane.
  • External diameter: 1200 mm.
  • Height: 1100 mm.
  • Channel width: 300 mm.
  • Motor power: 2 kW.
